Am I nervous for graduation? Yes very much so, because of all the pressure from my family and friends, coaches and myself. Whenever I think of graduation and being out on that football field with all my peers in the stands and my name being called to go get diploma it gives me goose bumps and sends my mind into a spin. I’ll be 18 two weeks after that and if all goes right that will be my right of passage into the real life.
The preparations that I’ve taken in my post graduation is doing my college application, my financial aid application, my placement test for college. I haven't really looked for a job but I do have connections for potential job. With this job I plan on paying for my first car my drivers license and my insurance. All the stuff I still need to do to graduate is completing all the classes I have right now along with my night school classes which I almost have complete. Passing my classes is the most stressful thing on my mind right now, it’s like whenever I do something another thing pops up and drags me down in all my other classes.
I’m looking forward to my summer after graduation, because it is going to be a very fun summer with my family and friends. Last summer I had a very fun time with all my friends and family and I’m much looking forward to doing it again. In my senior year I have surprised myself on numerous occasions rather its socially or in the classroom. I finally completed all of my freshman core before the first semester was even over and I got into the classes that needed and I’m doing fairly well in them.
Socially I have always been a shy person person but finally I expressed my feelings to someone that I really like and am now in a happy relationship with that person. Being in the relationship has really boosted my self esteem because it gave me a lot of confidence to actually talk to people and be a social person.
Im most grateful for all the people who kept pushing me and telling me to do better in school and be successful in life. These people are my family, friends, coaches and teachers of all people. Because they taught and mentored me in life it made me into the person I’m today, it's makes me feel great to know that there are people out there that really care about what happens to me in the future. All in all my experience at Lindsay high school has been a positive experience for sure, I really think that leaving will make me a little emotional but nothing I can’t handle because my near future should be enough to cancel the negative out of it. I;m going to miss LHS but I’m sure other seniors just like me felt the same way as me right now so I’m not the only one ever to miss high school.
